ROCKFORD (WREX) -

Rockford IceHogs goaltender Michael Leighton is now the American Hockey League's all-time leader in career shutouts, recording his 46th at the AHL level on Saturday in a 5-0 Rockford victory over Lake Erie.

Leighton made 35 saves against the Monsters in front of a soldout crowd on, ironically, Scott Darling bobblehead night honoring the former IceHogs goalie and Stanley Cup champion with the Chicago Blackhawks.

The IceHogs goals came courtesy of Bryan Bickell, Tanner Kero, Mark McNeill, and two from Pierre-Cedric Labrie. The Hogs and Monsters meet again Sunday afternoon at 4:00 for the home team's Autism Awareness game at the BMO Harris Bank Center.
