Rockford Auburn alumnus Fred VanVleet and the Wichita State Shockers are now in a holding pattern before March Madness as they await their fate on Selection Sunday. Wichita State dropped a 57-52 overtime semifinal to Northern Iowa in St. Louis on Saturday.
The Shockers survived an upset bid by Loyola Chicago on Friday, but hung on to win 66-58. Now it's an eight-day wait for the bracket announcement, in which Gregg Marshall's squad hopes to land an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
VanVleet finished with eight points and five assists in the loss. Highlights and interviews courtesy of KSN in Wichita, Kansas.
