One local event strives to bring both our schools and our community members together.
Many came out Saturday for the 4th Annual Know Your Neighbor event at Harlem High School. More than 60 vendors filled the gym including local businesses, banks, clubs, health and wellness groups and more. The Harlem Community Project hopes to create connections between these local groups.
The free event also had tons of activities for kids and live entertainment.
"We really want to make sure that we're supporting our community as much as they supports us," said Jason Blume, the Harlem School District Stakeholder Engagement Director. "This is a great way for us to get our schools, our staff, our families to come in and see some stuff going on in our schools, but also see our local vendors and local community members."
Every year, Know Your Neighbor showcases Harlem School District student projects and clubs, as well.
