Belvidere woman thanks first responders, rental driver for saving life

BELVIDERE (WREX) -

A Belvidere woman thanks first responders and a rental car driver for saving her life Monday night at Belvidere's City Council Committee meeting.

This all started about a month ago in Belvidere. Wallie Nettleton's family tells 13 News that Wallie was riding with a man from Enterprise, Randy Frye, when he noticed she wasn't breathing. They pulled into a Road Ranger gas station because he saw a Lifeline ambulance there. Those EMS workers tended to Wallie until Belvidere Fire Department could get there. At one point she had no pulse.  Both crews were able to revive her and bring her to the hospital.

Wallie thanked the people who saved her life Monday night at a Belivdere City Council Committee meeting.

The Nettleton family tells 13 News they are forever grateful to the paramedics—and Randy.
