Many people set out this weekend to try and find unique vintage treasures to add to their collections.
Around 2,500 people came out Feb. 20-21 for the 56th Annual Antique Show at Forest Hills Lodge.
More than 40 vendors from throughout the Midwest set up shop to showcase their antiques and collectibles, selected specifically for this year's show. These dealers brought items from the 19th and 20th centuries such as furniture, silver, pottery and more.
"I was always interested in history and history of the area, and to me, that's what antiques are all about... the history of the item," said Ken Weitzel, owner of The Rock Step Antiques from Spring Green, Wis.
Many of these vendors have coming to these shows for more than 15 years, and say their favorite part is the people and sharing their collection with them.
