Three NIC-10 teams advance to Girls Bowling Championship Saturday


There will be a full supply of NIC-10 girls bowling flavor on the final day of the girls bowling state finals at the Cherry Bowl as three local teams advance to the second day of competition.

Belvidere North is in second place overall as a team, 133 pins behind first-place West High School from Joliet. Lady Blue Thunder sophomore Brynn Lambrecht is seventh in the individual standings.

Harlem currently sits in seventh in the team standings, with Lady Huskies junior Mylee McCracken in fifth in the individual standings.

Freeport rounds out the conference trio advancing to Saturday in eighth place as a team. Sidney Hughes rolled a perfect game on Friday, and that 300 has the Lady Pretzels sophomore in tenth place as an individual.

Dixon returned to state as a team for the first time in five years, and Katlyn Bay will represent the Duchesses on Saturday, bowling as an individual.
