Singing, dancing and celebration were all a part of Monday's Martin Luther King Jr. Day events. Rockford's Yes Club performed today in front of a huge crowd. They sang and danced to music that was arranged in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.
The message Monday was healing, hope and bringing together a community of hope.
"What's beautiful is that what Dr. King did was achieve a lot to bring us together," St. Paul Lutheran Church and School Pastor, David Thies said. "People that worked with him and have worked since. We have a long way to go as far as coming together but we can keep making new beginnings."
Organizers say these kids don't just sing—they also work toward good character.
