Blackhawks win seventh straight, IceHogs top Wild


The Chicago Blackhawks and Rockford IceHogs both had a victorious Sunday as the Hawks won their seventh in a row and the Hogs picked up a division win on the road.

The Blackhawks received two goals each from Patrick Kane and Marian Hossa in a 6-3 rout of the Colorado Avalanche at United Center. Former IceHog Brandon Mashinter recorded his second goal of the season, the first tally of the night for the Hawks. They are now four points behind the Dallas Stars for first place in the Central Division.

As for the IceHogs, they beat the Iowa Wild on the road, 3-1. The Hogs got goals from Pierre-Cedric Labrie, Ryan Haggerty, and Chris DeSousa in the win. They start an eight-game homestand this Tuesday against the Chicago Wolves.
