Teen arrested for threatening to "shoot up" high school


Sunday, December 6, the Janesville Police Department became aware of a threat to shoot up Joseph A. Craig High School in Janesville, Wisconsin. 

Police say the threat was made one social media. Craig High School Administration and the Janesville Police partnered to make an arrest of a 14-year-old boy who is a student at Craig High School. 

The teen was charged with Unlawful Use of Computerized Communication Systems and released to his mother. 

Police say the boy admitted to the post and said he only meant it as a joke. A search was conducted at the the teen's residence and no firearms were found. 

Janesville Police did not release the boy's identity.
