MIDDLETON (WKOW) -- Capital Brewery in Middleton got into the Halloween spirit, while supporting conservation.
It hosted a costume party Friday to raise awareness and money toward efforts to save the bat population.
Millions of bats around the country have died from white-nose syndrome, a disease that's also been found in Wisconsin.
"They're a very important species, they're shown to be hugely valuable to the agriculture industry because they eat so many insects every night ," says bat researcher Ben Stading.
Capital Brewery even brewed up a special beer, called Bat-oberfest.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale will go toward the Wisconsin Bat Conservation Fund.
