A Freeport man is arrested and accused of robbing a Rockford home for people with disabilities as well as sexually assaulting one of its workers last year.
27-year-old Aaron Leach was caught in Freeport. He faces home invasion and criminal sexual assault charges. He's being held in the Stephenson County Jail without bond.
Rockford police say last October several suspects armed with guns went into a home in the 400 block of Grayling Drive. The home is used as a place for patients of the Goldie B Floberg Center.
At the time of the robbery several patients and workers were inside. They were all tied up and one of the workers was sexually assaulted. Investigators found evidence on the scene that they sent away for testing at a state crime lab. The results, police say, linked Leach to the crime. Leach is currently being held in the Stephenson County Jail in lieu of bond.
