Saturday. October 3, the Rockford Branch of the NAACP is hosting an Economic Resource Fair at Ellis Arts Academy in downtown Rockford from 11:00 a.m. till 3:00 p.m.
The NAACP is bringing financial literacy and economic resources to the community to the school located at 222 S. Central Avenue in Rockford. This event is the 2nd economic resource fair of the year. The Financial Freedom Campaign is sponsored by the National NAACP Economic Department.
The NAACP Economic Programs Department implements the national Financial Freedom Campaign (FCC) to serve as a leading advocate for advancing fair mortgage lending and greater financial security.
The event will cover important economic issues, including how to save your home and representatives from various social agencies and organizations such as ComEd, Nicor, Supplement Energy Assistance, Lifescape, Habitat for Humanity, LiHeap and many more representing organizations will be in attendance.
