The Rockford IceHogs, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the 2015 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks, will have the Stanley Cup on display at the BMO Harris Bank Center.
The Stanley Cup will be in the building on Sunday, Nov. 22 as the IceHogs faceoff against the Lake Erie Monsters at 4 p.m. Along with an opportunity to see the Cup, the first 2,500 fans in attendance will also receive a commemorative Blackhawks Stanley Cup poster featuring the 13 former IceHogs who were part of Chicago’s 2015 championship team.
Doors for the game for the general public will open at 3 p.m.
Accompanying the Stanley Cup on Nov. 22 will be the Clarence Campbell Bowl, Mark Messier Trophy, William Jennings Trophy, and the Conn Smythe Trophy. The Clarence Campbell Bowl is awarded to the Western Conference Champion. Blackhawks captain, Jonathan Toews, was the 2014-2015 recipient of the Mark Messier Trophy for leading by extraordinary example both on and off the ice, specifically in giving back to the community. Awarded to the goalie(s) who played for the team that allowed the fewest goals in the previous season, the William Jennings Trophy was given to Carey Price of the Montreal Canadiens along with Chicago and former IceHogs goalie Corey Crawford for the 2014-2015 season. Lastly, in honor of his playing excellence in the postseason, Duncan Keith received the Conn Smythe Trophy, awarded to the playoff MVP.
