City of Beloit Police Department reports a busy night for the Beloit Health System Emergency Room located at 1969 West Hart Road, Beloit, Wisconsin.
Around 12:10 a.m. Sunday, August 9, an individual arrived at the emergency room after police say that person was stabbed in the sternum. The person's injuries are non-life threatening and they have been released from the hospital.
Police say the victim didn't give officers any information about the incident that led to the stabbing. Investigators don't know who stabbed the person or where the incident happened.
Less than an hour later, City of Beloit police responded to shots fired in the area of Oak Street and St. Lawrence Avenue. Several people told police they heard about five shots, but couldn't give police an exact location.
Police say after investigating the area they were also unable to recover any evidence of the shots fired. Minutes later, a person entered the Beloit Health System Emergency Room after being shot in his left hand. The victim is going to be okay, police say.
An hour later, around 1:50 a.m., City of Beloit units responded to the 600 block of 4th Street for a disturbance in a parking lot. Several people were leaving the area when officers arrived and were in the parking lot. A female arrived at the Beloit Health System Emergency Room a little while after the police arrived at the parking lot. The female had a non-life threatening stab wound to her left leg.
City of Beloit Police Department says all three incidents are still under investigation and no suspects are in custody at this time.
