Winnebago County selected for CDC study

Winnebago County is one of 15 counties to be selected for a CDC study.

The National Health Center for Health Statistics is partnering with the CDC.  They are giving about 500 free medical exams throughout Winnebago County.  They're picking people at random by going door to door.  People will be paid $125 for their time.

"We have knocked on about 700 doors so far," says study manager Larry Dobbins.  "We have been here since the beginning of June.  We still have two to three-hundred doors to knock on."

If you happen to be selected, the exam could last up to four hours.
