The Atwood Center at Seth B. Atwood park is hosting "In the Outdoors", a free, monthly series of events focused on bringing families out for a few hours of fun in nature.
The events begin with 'The 100-Year Hike', a walk through part of Camp Grant, a training camp for soldiers during World War one and two. The event will be held Saturday from 1-3 p.m.
On Aug. 15 from 9-11 a.m., The Center is hosting an introduction class for archery. The Center will provide all equipment needed, and archers must be at least 5 years old.
On Sept. 19 from 7-9 p.m., the Center will present 'Howls and Owls', a guided search for a trained 'Alpha Wolf' where participants are encouraged to howl and hoot to find wildlife.
