School is out and that means you're on the go and might have trouble finding fresh, healthy, meals for your family.
Dietitians say planning ahead and having healthy food accessible will help you in that mission.
"Set aside the same day every week to go grocery shopping," says Swedish American registered dietitian Erin Burke. "Do some meal prep, cut up fresh fruit and vegetables, wash them. make hard boiled eggs. Set aside one day and it makes it a lot easier to eat healthier."
Burke says nuts, peanut butter, cheese, and hard boiled eggs all make quick and easy meals for kids during the summer.
