Police say around 2:45 a.m. Monday near Auburn and Bluefield streets a car hit a retaining wall on the north side of Auburn. The car then lost control, spun out, crossed to the other side of the road and hit a utility pole.
Authorities say there were three people inside of the car at the time of the crash.
All of them were sent to the hospital. One of them, a 31-year-old man, is in critical condition and the other two passengers are stable.
The area around Auburn has since reopened. Police say alcohol, speed and weather are being investigated as contributing factors in the crash.
