Study: Kids and teens not drinking enough water
Friday, June 12, 2015 5:43 AM EDT
UNDATED (NBC) -
According to a new study from Harvard University, more than half of kids and teens are not drinking enough water.
Data from more than 4,000 children showed African-Americans were at a higher risk of dehydration, and boys were at a higher risk than girls.
Nearly a quarter of the children in the study reported drinking no plain water at all.
Inadequate hydration has been linked to headaches as well as poor physical and cognitive performance.
