Patrick Sharp took two consecutive costly penalties, leading to Jason Garrison's man-advantage score that proved to be the game-winner.
Corey Crawford made 20 saves in the loss. Ben Bishop registered 21 saves, but left the game twice, leaving Andrei Vasilevskiy to step in for spurts in the third period. He made five saves and earned the victory.
