Rock Valley College has piled up 48 wins against 5 losses this season on the softball diamond as Darin Monroe's program goes for a second straight national championship. RVC will be aided by the return of catcher and Hononegah product Vivi Marquez, who had to sit out last season due to a serious shoulder injury that required a full year of rehabilitation."My teammates were always there for me everyday. My parents and my family were two of my coaches. It was an awesome experience because they won. I got to be a part of it even though I was sitting," Marquez said.
"She developed as an incredible leader last year," said Coach Monroe. "I think sometimes the man upstairs has a plan for you. She definitely took it in stride. She's come back twice as strong."
