The Special Olympics Spring Games are coming up in just a few days.
More than 550 athletes from nine counties will compete in track and field events. The games are this Saturday at Harlem High School.
Some of the athletes have been training for the past several months for the main event.
"We have a parade of athletes, so all the athletes walk on the track and they're announced with their team. It's really mind boggling how fantastic of an event this is," says Special Olympics Director Debby Kelly.
The winners of this weekend's event will be heading to the Illinois Special Olympic Summer Games in June at Illinois State University.
