The Rockford IceHogs lost a 3-1 decision to the Toronto Marlies on Saturday night at a sold-out BMO Harris Bank Center in the 2014-2015 regular season finale. The IceHogs finished the year with a 46-23-5-2 record (99 points), the best in a season in franchise history.
Rockford fell short of a Midwest Division title, finishing one point behind Grand Rapids, and settling for fourth place in the Western Conference. That sets up a first-round Calder Cup Playoffs matchup with the Texas Stars. Games 1 and 2 will be played in the Lone Star State, while Games 3, 4, and 5 are scheduled for Rockford's home ice. Game 3 will be on Wednesday, April 29 with Games 4 and 5 (if necessary) are slated for Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2. All of those dates at the BMO will start shortly after 7 PM.
