Some ComEd employees used their time off today to help rebuild Fairdale. The employee's weren't working to restore any power, but rather taking time out of their schedules to help their surrounding community.
"It touched home for me because I was in the command center and we caught the word that the town had been hit," said ComEd employee Ron Riley. "Because of my experience on Thursday in particular I wanted to be a part of it so that's why I'm here today."
The employees said they are proud to work for a company that allows them to work hands on after these natural disasters.
