Last week we brought you a Golden Apple teacher from Boylan High School.
Well, they sure have quite the staff because now we want you to meet Mrs. Rozanski, our Teacher of the Week.
Tricia Rozanski teaches english at Boylan, what she calls a gift.
"God has put me in the place where I'm meant to be," she says. "We hear from so many people that we are given gifts that we should share with the world, and I really believe that."
As she shares her gift to teach, she says she also has gifts walking in and out of her classroom everyday, her students.
"The joy and the enthusiasm that the kids bring to the classroom make it all worth it," Mrs. Rozanski says.
But students like Kate Way say it's her excitement for teaching that make them excited for learning.
"She's super enthusiastic about poetry, and she makes it a lot of fun to learn," Kate says.
She says it's fun because she allows them to break into small groups to discuss the poetry.
"We get to see what they all think about different poems, and they interpret things differently, and she's really just open to a lot of interpretation in that classroom," Kate says.
"I don't want them to be afraid to raise their hand for fear of giving a wrong answer, because quite often in my subject matter there's not a wrong answer," Mrs. Rozanski says.
Because she says when they raise their hand, she could be learning something new as well.
"I've been teaching many of these same novels for years, and every year my students still teach me new things about what I'm teaching," she says.
She says that's why it's important to speak out and to listen, because you never know what you're going to learn.
