An arrest is made in the big pot plant discovery at the former Fatty McGee's pub in Rockford. Police arrested Gregory Kowalski. He was booked Tuesday into the Winnebago County Jail.
The 46-year-old is charged with two counts of manufacturing marijuana with the intent to deliver. Rockford Police found 1,100 marijuana plants inside the building of the former Fatty McGee's pub. They also recovered several large bags of packaged cannabis ready for distribution. The gross weight of the bags was approximately 13 pounds.
Bond for Kowalski was set at $10,000. He'll be arraigned Wednesday afternoon. According to our media partners at the Rockford Register Star Kolas is an owner of the building.
