Rock Valley College welcomed back twelve of its former athletes this weekend for induction into the school's Hall of Fame, returning some familiar faces to our community.
Former MLB umpire Larry Young, Harlem state champion softball coach Cindy Diamond, and current booster club president Duey Hoff were among those honored, and all spoke fondly of memories at RVC and our area."I have some great memories at Rock Valley, it was one of the best times of my life, we had a great football team, and I had close friends who I stay in contact with today, I stay in touch with the coaches. I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Rock Valley so this is the icing on the cake," Young said.
"When we won the state title, it was just something I'll never forget, Harlem High School, we're a family there, it's just a special place and I'm honored to be a part of that," said Diamond.
Congratulations to all of RVC's newest inductees.
