Rock Valley College inducts Class of 2015 to Hall of Fame

Rock Valley College welcomed back twelve of its former athletes this weekend for induction into the school's Hall of Fame, returning some familiar faces to our community.

Former MLB umpire Larry Young, Harlem state champion softball coach Cindy Diamond, and current booster club president Duey Hoff were among those honored, and all spoke fondly of memories at RVC and our area.

"I have some great memories at Rock Valley, it was one of the best times of my life, we had a great football team, and I had close friends who I stay in contact with today, I stay in touch with the coaches. I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Rock Valley so this is the icing on the cake," Young said.

"I've been involved with Rock Valley for 40 years as a coach, assistant coach, player, and now the booster club so it's a great place to be," Hoff said at today's basketball games.

"When we won the state title, it was just something I'll never forget, Harlem High School, we're a family there, it's just a special place and I'm honored to be a part of that," said Diamond.

Congratulations to all of RVC's newest inductees.
