Ice Hogs players visit hospitals with teddy bears

The Rockford Ice Hogs are giving back to their community one teddy bear at a time. The team hosted their annual teddy bear toss on Saturday night, collecting stuffed animals for local children's charities and hospitals.

A few Ice Hogs players stopped by Rockford Memorial Hospital Tuesday, handing out stuffed animals and spending time with patients. There are more than 20 organizations that receive the stuffed animals including Toys for Tots, Salvation Army, Motherhouse Crisis Nursery and various hospitals.

"To see a kid smiling and just from a teddy bear, you know it kinda gets me emotional. It puts things in perspective. It's an honor to get to do that kind of stuff." said T.J. Brennan, Ice Hogs Defenseman.
