A Rockford company is expanding — and it means new jobs are coming to the area.
Komax Systems is a technology company that specializes in automation solutions for the automotive and pharmaceutical industries.
They will be the first tenants of the new business park at Spring Creek Lakes.
The president of Komax in Rockford says his company will move into half of the 100,000 square foot building the developers are building on the massive lot along I-90 and Riverside Boulevard in Loves Park.
"Southern Wisconsin was very interested in getting us to move across the border but there is a very strong workforce in Rockford. It's a very industrious city. There is a lot of manufacturing here and a lot of skilled trades and a lot of skilled engineers," says Gene Haffely, president of Komax Systems Rockford.
Komax plans to move out of its facility by spring of next year and into its new facility. Haffely says he plans to hire 25 engineers and technicians by the end of next year.
Anyone interested should contact the company.
