The holiday season is right around the corner. Only 29 days until Thanksgiving, which also means the Stroll on State is ready to return to Rockford.
It begins Saturday, Nov. 29 — 31 days away. It's free and open to the public.
More than 30,000 people participated in last year's event, which is complete with family-friendly activities. Plenty of vendors will be there to provide food and retail items, just like City Market, except during the cold weather.
"Stroll on State is really an opportunity for the community to come together. Family and friends kicking off the holiday season. And last year, we were so thrilled to see how many people came out, really overwhelmed by the positive response," says RACVB CEO John Groh.
Stroll on State is the inaugural event of the Merry and Bright series.
The series continues with several different events, ending Jan. 18.
