FAA officials say they are planning to remove the fire-damaged equipment at an air traffic control center in Aurora where a man intentionally set a fire that impacted travel nationwide. According to a spokesperson, the equipment will be removed as replacement equipment continues to arrive for installation and testing. Last month, a contract worker set fire to communications equipment, causing more than 2,000 flights to be canceled in and out of O'Hare and Midway airports. Operations have not fully resumed at either airport.
