Posted: Updated:
ROCKFORD (WREX) - A couple Rockford structure fires keep crews busy Sunday evening.

Rockford fire crews first responded to 1222 Ferguson Street for a house fire. Upon arrival, heavy fire conditions were found on the second floor of the structure. There were aggressive interior operations by crews, but those changed to defense because it was a large volume of fire. No one was hurt. Cost of damage is estimated at $20,000. Cause is being investigated.

As firefighters were finishing up on Ferguson Street, another structure fire was reported in the southwest area at 930 Harding Street. Investigators report a fully involved unattached garage fire. The fire was brought under control quickly, but damage did extend to the residence's exterior. No one was hurt.  This fire is currently under investigation. Cost of damage is estimated at $15,000.
