The superintendent of the Meridian School District is calling on Cardinal Pride to spruce up some facilities around the schools.
Superintendent P.J. Caposey says students and the community deserve to return to schools that have immaculate facilities despite district-wide budget reductions.
He says nearly all of the projects can be completed in one day with enough volunteers.
"Things like painting a shed, painting a dugout, pulling weeds, mulching, putting in a flower bed. Things that esthetically will help out, make us represent truly what we're all about in Stillman Valley and the Meridian School District," Caposey says.
Volunteers are asked to gather beginning at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, at Meridian Junior High School in Stillman Valley.
