Rockford PRO/AM moving to Rockford Country Club

ROCKFORD (WREX) -  The Rockford PRO/AM will have a new home next year. PRO/AM board president Mike Tulley says the tournament will move to Rockford Country Club, after spending 19 years at Forest Hills Country Club.

"They've done a great job and this is no reflection on Forest Hills whatsoever," Tulley said. "It's a fact of trying to get more people involved."

Tulley says they're also considering Mauh-Nah-Tee-See and Aldeen as potential future sites for the PRO/AM, and rotating the tournament between courses from year to year.

"We have to do some feasibility studies to see if that's feasible," Tulley said. "If it is, we're going to try to rotate it around and get more people in the community involved."

In its 38 years, the PRO/AM has raised more than three million dollars for local charities.
