Slattery leads after one round of Boys Classic


 Kyle Slattery shot a -1, 70 in the first round of the Rockford Boys Classic Thursday, giving him a two stroke edge heading into the final round.

Recent East High School grad Sean Miller shot a 72, and is the closest one to Slattery going into Friday. John Milner is four shots off the lead, while Joey Watts and Spencer Horst are both five shots back.

The leaders tee off at 8:24 a.m. Friday at Ingersoll Golf Course.
