The first game of the double-header was already underway when play was suspended in the top of the fourth inning as severe weather advanced into the area. When play was suspended, the Greys led the Aviators by a score of 4-0.
Ryan Zimmerman got the start tonight for the Aviators and had given up four runs on two hits, but had walked seven batters as the strike zone was very narrow throughout the game.
The lone hit for the Aviators came on a single by Jeff Kremer in the bottom of the second inning.
The game will be resumed during another series later in the season. Both games will have to be made up. The first game will be resumed in the top of the fourth inning and will be played the full seven innings. The second game will be played as part of a double-header. The date for the make-up games will be announced at a later date.
Fans who were in attendance at Aviators Stadium tonight need to hold onto their ticket stubs as they will be able to use it for admission to any other 2014 home game this season. Seating is subject to availability.
The Aviators will be back in action tomorrow night against the Joliet Slammers beginning at 7:05 p.m. It will be FIREWORKS Friday presented by Power Connection and Sam's Club FREE Gas Friday! Gates will open at 6:05 p.m.
