Snappers sweep Kane County

 The Snappers earned their third win in a row by beating the Kane County Cougars, 2-1, tonight.
Kane County jumped out to an early, 1-0, lead when Ben Carhart grounded out to score Carlos Penalver in the first inning.
Lou Trivino got the start and the win for Beloit. Trivino pitched five innings and allowed two hits and one earned run. He finished the night with a 4.04 ERA.
In the bottom of the fourth Ryan Huck hit a solo homer, his third of the season, to tie the game up at 1-1. After Luis Baez singled on a groundball to first base, Andy Paz laid down a sacrifice bunt to score Ryan Mathews to take the lead, 2-1.
Sam Bragg came in to replace Trivino and pitched three scoreless innings before being replaced by the lefty, Chris Lamb. Lamb got his second save of the season as he pitched one scoreless inning and only allowed one hit in order to hold on for the Snappers’ third win in a row, sweeping the division leading, Kane County Cougars.
Beloit goes on the road to Clinton to face the LumberKings for four games before they head to Cedar Rapids.
