Search ended for South Carolina man who jumped off cruise ship

NASSAU, Bahamas (WREX) — The U.S. Coast Guard has ended its search for 30-year-old James Miller of South Carolina, who reportedly jumped off a cruise ship sailing between South Florida and the Bahamas.

Miller went missing from the Bahamas Celebration on Sunday. Since then, the Coast Guard says searchers covered over 3,000 square miles before suspending the search Tuesday.

The Celebration Cruise Line ship was traveling about 27 miles east of Florida's Delray Beach when Miller's disappearance was reported. The Coast Guard says he reportedly jumped over the liner's railing.

Miller's disappearance is being investigated by the FBI.
