Father of Rock Co. hit and run suspect turned him in

JANESVILLE (WREX) - Court documents say the father of the suspect in a fatal Rock County hit and run turned his son in after finding damage to his vehicle.

Twenty-four-year-old Sambath Pal has been charged in the death of 18-year-old Devin Julius and 24-year-old Michael Vance of Janesville. Police say the men were riding in a group of motorcycles when Pal's SUV crossed the center line on Highway 14 on Easter, hitting them.

Rock County Sheriff Robert Spoden said Pal's father, Saroeun Tigh of Park City, Illinois, called police Thursday, leading them to go to Tigh's house to arrest Pal.
