$4.8 million in construction projects announced for northern Illinois


A total of $4.8 million in construction projects were announced Thursday for Lee, Ogle, and Winnebago counties.

The projects are funded by the Illinois Jobs Now! capital construction program and aim to improve traffic flow around the region. The projects are as follows:

  • Lee County:
    • Angling Road from S. Paw Paw Road to LaSalle County line - resurfacing and new shoulders
  • Lee and Ogle counties:
    • Illinois Route 251 from I-88 to Chicago Road - resurfacing
  • Ogle County:
    • Pines Road from Ridge Road to 8th Street in Oregon - resurfacing, new shoulders, and striping
    • Bridge carrying Fox Lane Road over Buffalo Creek south of Polo - replacement with an aluminum box culvert
  • Winnebago County:
    • Box culvert carrying Route 75 over a drainage ditch west of Winslow Road - replacement
    • I-39 southbound ramp over US Route 20 - resurfacing
