Bill legalizing marijuana byproduct signed in Wisconsin

A Wisconsin state senator says Governor Scott Walker has signed a bill legalizing a marijuana byproduct used in the treatment of children's seizures.

Democratic state Senator Robert Wirch of Somers, the bill's co-sponsor, released a statement on its signing Wednesday.

The legislation allows the oil extract cannabidoil to be administered under a doctor's care. The bill passed the Assembly on a voice vote in March and unanimously passed the Senate earlier this month.
