Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity held a ground-breaking ceremony Friday for the first homes to built by the organization in the 61108 zip code.
The ceremony was held at 804 Arnold Avenue and welcomes volunteers and new neighbors to learn more about how RAHFH builds and sells affordable homes.
After the ground-breaking, Habitat held a luncheon at Lino's that included a meal and a short program to share the organization's vision for the upcoming construction season.
