Shooting confirmed at Fort Hood Army base

UPDATE: According to a TX Representative appearing on CNN, four people are dead, it's not been confirmed from Ft. Hood that that includes the shooter but the representative is identifying the shooter as Ivan Lopez and saying he is dead.

President Obama says he's following Fort Hood shooting closely, US will get to bottom of what happened.

A Justice Department internal report says the Fort Hood gunman is dead of a self-inflicted wound.

A senior U.S. defense official says one person is dead and 14 wounded in a shooting at Fort Hood.

The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the official was not authorized to discuss the information publicly.

The Texas Army base was the scene of a mass shooting in 2009. Thirteen people were killed and more than 30 wounded in what was the deadliest attack on a domestic military installation in history.

Fort Hood says there's been a shooting at the Texas Army base and that there have been injuries.

The base posted a statement online Wednesday. It said emergency crews are on the scene. No further details are known.
