Two men have been charged with Aggravated Battery and Unlawful Restraint after allegedly beating a man and stripping him of his clothing.
Deputies with the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office responded to a home in the 600 block of Homestead Lane in Rockford during the early morning hours of Tuesday for a report of a naked man kicking open the door to a home.
Deputies say the 26-year-old man had been battered in a different home on the block and kicked in the door of a nearby house in search of help. Police determined he and a female friend had gone to the initial home with an acquaintance earlier in the day when a dispute took place and the man was battered and stripped of his clothes.
Twenty-nine-year-old Chad Dobbs and 27-year-old Joel Dach were charged in the incident, which police say appears to be drug related. In addition to the battery and unlawful restraint charge, Dobbs has also been charged with Violation of the Illinois Controlled Substance Act (cocaine) and Violation of the Cannabis Control Act.
