Two shows you might be used to watching here on Channel 13, Chicago Fire and Chicago PD, have been credited for helping boost Illinois' economy
Both shows are filmed in, you guessed it, Chicago.
According to the Illinois Film Office, last year's spending for the two shows put 87 million dollars into the local economy. Representatives from that organization say the shows are job creators for hundreds of actors, electricians, drivers, and construction workers.
Both shows have also been extended for another season.
