Illinois Democrats, Republicans host unity parties after primary

Just a day after battling each other at the polls, Democrats and Republicans in Illinois are making friends again with separate "unity" gatherings in Chicago.

Democrats gathered at the Billy Goat Tavern for a party breakfast on Wednesday while Republicans planned on a "march to victory" lunch at the Union League Club.

The aim of both gatherings is to restore unity after the primary season, which can sometimes be divisive.
