Students in Roosevelt Alternative High School's reading club are using more than just books to hone their literary skills.
The Rockford Public Library is showing students how to access digital resources from tablets and smart phones. Teachers say using the e-readers can not only give students access to multiple resources at once, but also help with their reading skills.
"What we find is you're able to stick your finger on the word and the definition pops up," English teacher Aprel Prunty explained. "So that's one of the really great incentives as well as access to many many more resources."
