Man charged in deadly Christmas Eve car crash heads to trial

Jury selection starts in the case against a Winnebago County father, charged in the car crash that killed his wife and her son.

Anthony Crose was driving the car that crossed the median and hit a minivan on Bypass 20 near Alpine Road.  It happened on Christmas Eve of 2011.  Crose's wife Dea Crose and her son Cole Trussler were killed in the crash. Crose's daughter survived.  Several months later Crose was charged with reckless homicide and aggravated reckless driving.

Opening statements in the trial against Crose are expected to start after jury selection wraps up on Tuesday.
