The Chicago Bears were notified by the NFL today that cornerback Tim Jennings has been added as a selection to the 2014 Pro Bowl. Jennings is replacing Seattle's Richard Sherman who is unable to partake in the Pro Bowl due to his scheduled participation in Super Bowl XLVIII.
Jennings will be making his second-straight Pro Bowl appearance after recording 66 tackles, a team-high four interceptions, three forced fumbles (tied for the team lead) and one opponent fumble recovery. He returned two of his four interceptions for touchdowns. His eight combined interceptions, forced fumbles and opponent fumble recoveries in 2013 were tied for fourth most in the NFL and tied for the most among cornerbacks. Jennings' 13 interceptions over the last two seasons (both Pro Bowl selections) are second most in the NFL to Sherman's 16.
Jennings is the fourth Bears player to be named to the 2014 Pro Bowl joining: RB Matt Forté and WRs Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall.
