Girl Scouts and IceHogs team up for cookie kick-off


Over 550 people-local Girl Scouts and their families attended the 2014 Girl Scout Cookie Kick-Off with the Rockford IceHogs at BMO Harris Bank Center.

From 2-5 p.m., girls learned about the five skills developed through the Girl Scout Cookie Program by visiting activity booths to earn their 2014 Cookie Activity Pin.

The event featured hands-on opportunities centered on decision making, goal setting, money management, people skills, and business ethics.

Activities included crafting a cookie message clip, financial fishing, floor maze game, wants vs. needs card game, door-to-door practice, and more.

Other activities included the cookie rally, good cookie booth vs. bad cookie booth, increasing sales with mobile payment options, and a cookie costume photo booth.
